Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at pvcsecretary.uiuc@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

The dues allow us to afford all of the opportunities we do. With dues, we are able to take members on trips to experience different concentrations and interests. A portion of our funds are allocated for the annual APVMA symposium. This is a 2-3 day trip that includes wet labs, lectures, and networking. The amount of opportunities we provide allow it so you get your moneys worth!

The required points allow us to keep track of who is an active member. The fundraising points play a similar role as our dues by allowing us to pay for all of the amazing opportunities we provide! The social point is needed to be considered an active member and so are the two general meetings a semester. The amount of points you have helps us see who stands out in the club, and who has been putting in extra effort to be involved!

Info for all of our events can be found in the weekly emails or on this website. From there you will find links to applications and sign up forms. To attend wet labs you need to have your dues paid for that semester. For certain wet labs there is a limit to the amount of attendees. Due to this, we will select who goes based on their application.

Due to the high number of applicants for our wet labs, we decide who attends through their written application. If you are repeatedly not getting chosen, please contact pvcprograms.uiuc@gmail.com.
